About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all Supplier quality development activities from prototype phase to full PPAP for purchased components
- Monitor suppliers during component development from prototypes to SOP + 6 months
- Facilitate supplier development to meet cost, quality, delivery, and lean manufacturing requirements
- Implement Supplier Onsite Process Approval (SOPA/APQP)
- Manage handover transfer for BOM components from Development to Plant production
- Contribute to supplier choice and validate main quality documents for sourcing
- Perform process audits and validate PPAP files, samples, and documentation
- Report and escalate risks associated with non-compliance with project timing or quality requirements
- Support plants with component knowledge in case of warranty issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical, or Business field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality or engineering within an automotive manufacturer or Tier I automotive environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Solid verbal and written communication abilities
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
- Ability to work in a team environment under self-determined time constraints
