Purchasing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Generate, follow up on, and confirm the status of daily purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
• Source and develop new vendors, crafting negotiation strategies for price, payment terms, and lead times
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with Korean Beauty and Home suppliers and brands
• Expand product selections to extend Yami’s market leadership in the Korean and Japanese beauty categories
• Identify growth opportunities and weaknesses within the current Korean supply chain
• Optimize cost of goods sold (COGS) for the Beauty and Home categories
• Drive improvements in inventory availability, balance, and overall inventory efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing and vendor management for consumer products
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (written and verbal)
• Strong supply chain analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions
