Purchasing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise end-to-end purchasing activities, including the bid, evaluation, and award cycle
• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers for goods and services
• Manage the execution of agreements, changes, and price and schedule negotiations for specific commodity groups
• Identify and implement corrective actions regarding supplier quality or schedule issues
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and project teams to ensure alignment
• Report procurement issues timely to project leadership and senior management
• Conduct orderly closeout of procurement operations, including claim settlements and resolving punch list items
• Support counterparts in different geographical regions by working flexible hours as needed

Requirements

• Engineering qualification, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business
• 3+ years of Procurement and Supply Chain Management experience with a global EPC company
• Experience in the oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, or chemical industries
• Proven expertise in purchasing or subcontracts, including commercial strategy and negotiation
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting commercial solutions
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, schedule-driven environment
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools
