About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing and order fulfillment activities to support business demand and optimize inventory turns
- Manage the end-to-end order status process, ensuring accurate shipping and delivery information within company systems
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure accountability for shipping and delivery commitments
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and provide accurate quotes to the sales team to support customer opportunities
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure timely product receipt and delivery
- Manage non-conforming inventory, including product disposition and in-process failures
- Communicate order status and problem resolutions promptly to planners, sales, and customer operations
- Assist in managing inventory aging, fill rates, and stock rotation/liquidations to meet business goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Less than 2 years of relevant work experience
- Foundational knowledge of industry practices, standards, and specialized purchasing disciplines
