Purchasing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Execute purchasing and order fulfillment activities to support business demand and optimize inventory turns
• Manage the end-to-end order status process, ensuring accurate shipping and delivery information within company systems
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure accountability for shipping and delivery commitments
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and provide accurate quotes to the sales team to support customer opportunities
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure timely product receipt and delivery
• Manage non-conforming inventory, including product disposition and in-process failures
• Communicate order status and problem resolutions promptly to planners, sales, and customer operations
• Assist in managing inventory aging, fill rates, and stock rotation/liquidations to meet business goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Less than 2 years of relevant work experience
• Foundational knowledge of industry practices, standards, and specialized purchasing disciplines
