About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and audit suppliers for parts and services
- Establish sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and product groups
- Lead the sourcing process through to contract award
- Act as program manager during the pre-production phase to ensure timing, cost, and quality requirements are met
- Evaluate technical changes to parts and services
- Lead cross-functional evaluations of supplier preparedness for mass production
- Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and nomination agreements
Requirements
- 2+ years in a purchasing environment
- Experience developing and executing procurement category strategies
- Experience managing supplier performance
- Program management experience
- Knowledge of automotive, manufacturing, or related industries
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to nurture stakeholder and supplier relationships
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
