About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8-10 Buyers in Mexicali
  • Set performance goals and establish action plans for the buyer team
  • Manage regional buyer team including coaching, training, and resource allocation
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for critical shortages in Operations
  • Lead lean, cost savings, and continuous improvement projects
  • Review purchase orders for SOX compliance
  • Ensure documented procedures support compliance with procurement and operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and leadership
  • APICS or ISM certification (or progress toward it)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of cost management best practices
  • Excellent organizational and analytical thinking skills
