Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of six Purchasing Planners
• Own inventory planning and purchasing execution for the APT business across manufacturing plants
• Oversee purchasing strategies for mechanical and electrical categories
• Lead supplier engagement strategy including capacity planning and lead time management
• Partner with Category Management to align sourcing strategies and risk mitigation
• Drive performance against KPIs including inventory turns, backorder levels, and on-time delivery
• Lead procurement planning input into monthly SIOP meetings
• Champion process standardization and automation across the planning team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory planning, or supply chain
• 7+ years of people management experience
• Strong background in manufacturing, equipment, or industrial supply chains
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Visio
• Advanced Excel skills for planning models and analysis
• Experience with ERP and reporting tools
