Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage over $5M in annual spend across various commodities to ensure alignment with financial and business goals
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of buyers to drive procurement performance
• Partner cross-functionally with Production, R&D, and Engineering teams to ensure material flow and support new product development
• Analyze market trends and provide commodity insights to inform strategic decision-making
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships, including conducting negotiations, performance monitoring, and implementing corrective actions
• Drive cost savings and operational improvements through total cost of ownership analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related functions within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Self-motivated and results-driven with a customer-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Supply chain certifications such as ISM, CPM, or CPSM
• Experience in strategic procurement, including domestic or global sourcing
