Purchasing Manager Gastronomy

About the Company

Our client is a gastronomy institution in Morbihan, recognized for its excellence and creativity in the event catering universe. As part of its growth structuring, it is creating its first Purchasing Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Referencing: Identify and select the best local and national producers and suppliers to ensure constant product quality.
• Negotiation: Manage calls for tender and negotiate pricing, delivery times, and CSR commitments.
• Culinary Collaboration: Work closely with Chefs to anticipate needs, propose seasonal or substitute products, and optimize technical sheets.
• Stock Management: Supervise stock levels, optimize rotations, and ensure rigorous inventory management to avoid shortages or waste.
• Strategic Proposition: Provide a strategic vision to rationalize the supplier panel while maintaining agility for events.

Requirements

• Solid experience in purchasing within gastronomy, luxury hospitality, or fresh products.
• Excellent knowledge of products and constraints related to preservation and seasonality.
• Strong communication skills to build trust with chefs and suppliers.
• Rigorous, autonomous, and capable of structuring a new department.
