Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for a direct purchasing and logistics team
• Develop and manage the strategic supplier base, including identifying and qualifying new local suppliers
• Lead annual supplier assessments and conduct audits in collaboration with Quality Management
• Drive cost savings through annual price negotiations and renegotiating supplier offers
• Oversee the end-to-end quotation process, managing RFQs and strategic sourcing recommendations
• Manage purchasing and logistics data within SAP, ensuring accuracy of material master data
• Implement and ensure compliance with local and regional purchasing strategies
• Identify and drive process improvements using continuous improvement methodologies

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior purchasing or materials management role
• Experience within a technical or manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable experience in leading and developing a team
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Strong commercial acumen

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant business or technical qualification (e.g., CIPS, Degree in Business or Engineering)
• Prior experience with SAP
• Proficiency in MS-Office, Power-BI, and AI-Tools
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and project meetings
