Purchasing Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Plan and follow up on the purchase of raw materials and packaging based on production needs using MRP
• Manage purchase orders, including confirmations, deliveries, invoicing, and handling complaints
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages, surpluses, and obsolete inventory (SLOB)
• Act as a central point of contact between internal teams (planners, production, logistics) and external stakeholders
• Support as an IT super-user for SAP/ERP, providing troubleshooting and user guidance
• Manage certifications and documentation such as Kosher, Halal, FSSC22000, and FAMI-QS
• Coordinate with production planning to anticipate and adapt to site changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of logistics processes within a production environment, including inventory management
• Experience with ERP systems, with SAP preference
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into concrete actions
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English (written and verbal)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the process industry or with raw material planning
• Knowledge of ETQ and/or APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization)
• Familiarity with quality standards and compliance within the food sector
