Purchasing Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders with approved suppliers and OEMs based on demand forecasts and lead times
• Track all purchase orders and proactively communicate arrival dates to internal and external customers
• Obtain necessary approvals for purchases and confirm order details such as SKU, quantity, and pricing with suppliers
• Participate in cross-functional teams to analyze demand generation tools, seasonality, and industry trends
• Identify process improvements and recommend action plans for the supply chain
• Comply with company SOPs and regulatory requirements to ensure cost-effective and timely shipments
• Address order tracking inquiries and issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• At least 2 years of work experience
• Experience in formalized purchasing, forecasting, and demand/supply planning
• Proficiency with technology including ERP/MRP systems, EDI, and forecasting tools
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Fulfillment Operations or other Supply Chain disciplines
• Experience with Microsoft and Google suites of systems
• ERP experience
