Purchasing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Execute purchasing activities based on network plans and production forecasts
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders in SAP
• Ensure three-way match (PO, goods receipt, invoice) and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor blocked invoices and collaborate with Finance for resolution
• Coordinate with local and regional suppliers for timely deliveries and expedite orders
• Manage Ex Works logistics and import clearance
• Create and maintain SAP master data including Info Records, Source Lists, and Vendor-Material Setups
• Maintain accurate procurement data for reporting and audits
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with P2P controls

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically intermediate Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze data and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification
• Experience in the food/beverage industry within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with lean or continuous improvement methods
