Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and resourcing projects to support Global Supply Management goals
• Maintain close relationships with suppliers and proactively resolve issues within assigned commodities
• Execute purchasing activities for product development and engineering change orders
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and plants to support Value Stream Management
• Serve as the first point of escalation for supplier-related shortages at Outdoor plants
• Identify supply base gaps and communicate needs to the Regional Procurement Manager
• Monitor price changes and implement approved updates
• Support cross-functional initiatives focused on total cost improvement and supply vulnerability reduction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years of professional purchasing experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Commodity experience in electrical, motors, bearings, plastic resins, injection molding, powdered metal, hardware, or packaging
