About the role
Responsibilities
- Interface with internal stakeholders to evaluate goods and services and execute purchase orders
- Source and negotiate with suppliers based on price, availability, quality, and logistics
- Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Manage orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records
- Assess vendor quality through in-person visits and analysis
- Negotiate sale agreements and supply contracts
- Coordinate with shipping agencies to ensure timely deliveries
- Authorize payments and manage purchasing expenses
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to report to assigned location Monday-Friday
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
