Purchaser

Responsibilities

• Execute the full purchasing cycle including RFQs, quotation comparisons, and purchase order issuance
• Procure civil construction materials, equipment, and subcontract services according to project needs
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors
• Coordinate with site teams, engineers, and planning teams to ensure material requirements meet project timelines
• Monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any supply delays
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, and supplier data
• Support cost control by identifying cost-effective solutions and maintaining competitive sourcing practices

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience as a Purchaser specifically within civil contracting companies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in purchasing construction materials and managing suppliers/subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management within the general contracting sector
