Purchase Officer

Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) following company policy
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely delivery
• Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors
• Monitor market trends and material prices to achieve cost savings
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and quality standards
• Track purchase orders and expedite deliveries to prevent delays
• Resolve supplier issues regarding quality, delivery, or invoices
• Maintain procurement records and vendor databases
• Support tendering and estimation teams with competitive quotations
• Prepare procurement reports and cost analyses

Requirements

• 7–10 years of procurement experience in civil construction or contracting
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and subcontract procurement
• Experience in the GCC/UAE construction industry preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Xpedion) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
