Pump Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the pump workshop, including repairs, rebuilds, servicing, and testing
• Plan and prioritize workflow to meet customer deadlines and operational targets
• Monitor job progress, quality standards, and workshop productivity
• Lead, develop, and mentor workshop technicians through coaching and training
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and policies
• Manage workforce planning, rostering, and resource allocation
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and quality standards
• Liaise with customers regarding job requirements, progress updates, and technical support
• Contribute to workshop budgets, productivity targets, and financial performance
• Manage inventory, procurement, and stock control processes

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in pump maintenance, repair, overhaul, or rotating equipment environments
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and fault diagnosis
• Sound knowledge of WHS regulations and safe work practices
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a team effectively
