About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform various diagnostic pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and gas diffusion
- Conduct regular setup and calibration of lab equipment following ATS/ERS protocols
- Instruct patients on testing procedures and ensure adherence to international standards
- Accurately record, interpret, and document test results for physician review
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assist in developing effective treatment plans
- Participate in quality maintenance through auditing, reporting, and student training
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Human Physiology, Biology, Kinesiology, or eligibility for CACPT registry
- Current BCLS certification
- Knowledge of ATS guidelines, laboratory policies, and clinical protocols
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with patients in a hospital or clinical environment
