Pullet Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain open and productive working relationships with contract producers
• Monitor bird health and farm conditions regularly
• Weigh birds and administer vaccines according to established schedules
• Draw blood for state and federal programs
• Order feed weekly and make necessary adjustments based on weight standards
• Report farm issues to the Pullet Manager as needed
• Manage farm setup for wash downs, bedding, and new flock placement
• Supervise contract producers, including performance appraisal and problem resolution

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for the company driving program
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Mathematical proficiency, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
