Public Works Supervisor - Storm Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate stormwater maintenance operations, including inspections, system cleaning, repairs, and vegetation management
• Manage compliance with Washington State Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit requirements, including IDDE investigations and spill response
• Oversee daily operations by setting priorities, directing staffing, and coordinating emergency and flood response efforts
• Supervise and support staff through training, field oversight, safety leadership, and performance accountability
• Provide administrative leadership through budget oversight, contract management, and regulatory communication
• Coordinate street sweeping, flood preparedness, and infrastructure protection activities

Requirements

• Extensive experience in stormwater maintenance and operations
• Proven supervisory experience leading and developing staff
• In-depth knowledge of NPDES and Washington State Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit compliance
• Experience in emergency response coordination and flood preparedness
• Proficiency in regulatory reporting and environmental coordination
