Public Services Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to Allen Library patrons, assisting with inquiries regarding music and dance materials.
• Oversee daily circulation desk operations, including implementing library policies and resolving loan issues.
• Schedule, train, and supervise student employees working at the circulation desk and performing shelving duties.
• Manage audio-visual, electronic, and print equipment circulation, maintenance, and reservations.
• Prepare and process print and audio/video library course reserves and maintain effective relationships with faculty.
• Maintain library public spaces and stacks, including performing inventories and shelving materials.
• Collect and maintain relevant statistics, such as monthly circulation figures and fines collected, for departmental reports.
• Assist with library outreach activities, including social media, displays, events, and book sales.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in music or a comparable combination of education, training, or experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of music materials or experience handling music-related media.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting or carrying 26-50 lbs.
