Responsibilities

Supervise Public Safety Department activities during the second shift, including coordinating schedules for regular, part-time, and student officers
Perform all duties of a public safety officer, including security, traffic, parking, and criminal offense response
Supervise and assist with investigations regarding personal injury, auto accidents, property loss, and campus disturbances
Evaluate personnel performance and provide guidance, training, and corrective actions as needed
Interpret and explain University rules, regulations, and the Student Code of Conduct to subordinates, faculty, staff, and visitors
Review incident, accident, and injury reports to ensure accuracy and follow-up

Requirements

Associate degree in Law Enforcement, Protective Services, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Proven supervisory experience or formal supervisory training
Valid Indiana State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
EMT or First Responder certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire)
CPR/AED/Standard First Aid certification
Ability to serve as an "essential employee" and respond to emergencies from off-duty status
