Public Safety Officer/Armed

Responsibilities

• Provide maximum security for the hospital during daily operations and emergency situations
• Enforce hospital security rules and regulations uniformly among patients, visitors, and employees
• Maintain a professional, low-key demeanor consistent with the hospital's mission and values
• Comply with hospital-wide programs for surveillance, infection prevention, and control
• Support safety management programs to maintain a hazard-free physical environment
• Collaborate interdepartmentally with all hospital divisions
• Perform patient transport duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Valid Ohio driver’s license
• Must be able to be insured by the hospital’s insurance carrier
• Must achieve OPOTA certification within 12 months of hire
