About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to control access
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to deter theft, violence, or unsafe behavior
- Respond to emergency codes and assist with crowd control, evacuation, or containment
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage disruptive situations involving patients or visitors
- Escort patients and visitors safely through the facility
- Write detailed incident reports regarding accidents, safety hazards, or security breaches
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state driver’s license
- Current DMV report
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare security or a related field
- IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety) certification
