About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform foot patrols to ensure the safety and security of the School of Law campus
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Mississippi College
- Report directly to the Director or Assistant Director of Public Safety
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to perform foot patrols and work outdoors in inclement weather
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous law enforcement or first responder experience
- College degree or college credit
