Public Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Protect College assets and the campus community
• Enforce College policies and laws within the Juniata College jurisdiction
• Complete detailed reports and investigations
• Exercise sound judgment and remain calm in difficult situations
• Maintain a presence that supports a diverse and inclusive academic community

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in security or law enforcement
• Ability to obtain Act 235 certification
• Availability to work second or third shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working knowledge of computers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
