Responsibilities

• Understand and follow given safety procedures
• Detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
• Gather data, compile information, and write reports
• Conduct safety patrols in and around buildings
• Operate departmental equipment including radios, cameras, and computers
• Respond to calls for assistance with urgency
• Conduct emergency drills according to prescribed procedures
• De-escalate and intervene in physical or verbal altercations
• Enforce crowd control procedures

Requirements

• At least one year of security experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess and maintain New York State security guard licensure
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays
• Strong customer service skills
