Public Safety Mental Health and Wellness Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide security enforcement and support for the Mental Health and Wellness Center to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain hospital security during normal day-to-day operations and emergency situations.
• Enforce rules and regulations in a professional, low-key manner consistent with the hospital's mission and values.
• Comply with hospital-wide programs for surveillance, infection control, and safety management to reduce human injury and hazards.
• Collaborate interdepartmentally with all hospital divisions to support patient and staff safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver's license with the ability to be covered under the hospital's insurance policy.
• Experience in Crisis Intervention or CIT certification.
• Mental Health First Aid certification or similar licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Mental Health and Wellness settings.
• Experience in facility security or corrections.
• Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T.) certification.
