Public Relations & Social Media Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive University PR and social media strategies to enhance the institution's profile and marketplace position.
• Manage all media relations, including writing news releases, serving as a media spokesperson, and overseeing the University news site.
• Develop creative content for social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Act as editor for the official alumni magazine and parents' newsletter.
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and various university departments to support enrollment, advancement, and alumni relations.
• Monitor social media performance and report monthly on KPIs to optimize reach and engagement.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of demonstrated success in creating and leading public relations and social media programs for a complex organization.
• Proven experience in public and media relations leadership.
• Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• A portfolio of work is required for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations.
• Graduate degree in a related field.
