Public Relations Officer

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing, coordinating, and implementing public relations and government affairs programs
• Review standard materials intended for public release to ensure alignment with company objectives and policies
• Prepare and disseminate standard information, including press releases and other information products
• Provide strategic communications support, including legislative affairs and policy documentation, to internal and external stakeholders
• Research, write, and edit articles, speeches, reports, and talking points for the company and its customers
• Use newspapers, periodicals, and audiovisual media to inform and educate audiences on newsworthy developments
• Analyze straightforward problems and implement solutions using standard procedures and technical judgment

Requirements

• College or university degree in Engineering or a related combination of education and experience
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in public relations or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of DOD, Agency, and industry standards
• Strong writing and editing skills
