About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead ExxonMobil’s global strategy for carbon accounting policy and advocacy
  • Monitor and analyze international carbon accounting and climate policy developments across various jurisdictions
  • Represent the company in key policy, regulatory, and technical forums
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and external experts across industry, academia, NGOs, and standard-setting bodies
  • Provide strategic policy insights and technical analysis to inform corporate strategy and risk management
  • Engage with policymakers and business leaders on issues shaping the competitiveness of Low Carbon Solutions (LCS)

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in carbon accounting, climate policy, energy policy, or related fields
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in energy/climate policy and/or technical standard-setting
  • Strong professional network across government, industry, multilateral organizations, and NGOs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex political, commercial, and regulatory environments
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
