About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of responsiveness.
- Maintain and update project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies using Jira and approved documentation.
- Facilitate internal and client-facing meetings, including standups, check-ins, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate project documentation such as charters, deliverables, and meeting materials.
- Support risk, issue, and dependency tracking, communicating potential blockers to leadership.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to align tasks and deliverables.
- Support Agile ways of working by managing backlog updates and Jira task hygiene.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 4+ years of full life cycle project management experience for complex technical initiatives.
- Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong command of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- US Citizenship required to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of public health systems, surveillance workflows, or state/local/tribal public health environments.
- Direct experience supporting CDC, HHS, or similar federal public health programs.
- Experience overseeing AI-enabled tools, decision support, or automation in public health.
- Exposure to DevSecOps, system modernization, or legacy system migration.
