About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care including assessment, medication administration, and education for diseases such as HIV, syphilis, and TB
- Assist with medication abortion services and provide medical triage via telemedicine hotline
- Conduct sensitive medical interviews regarding sexual history and orientation
- Perform case-finding activities, counseling, and follow-up
- Adhere to the Nursing Code of Ethics and promote patient rights and safety
Requirements
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse license
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited college
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field
- Two years of relevant experience in public health or hospital nursing
- One year of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, or educational capacity
