About the role

Responsibilities

  • Interview HIV-diagnosed persons to identify exposed partners
  • Locate, notify, and test partners in mobile settings
  • Connect newly diagnosed persons to HIV clinical care
  • Trace and re-engage out-of-care HIV-diagnosed persons
  • Support HIV prevention, PrEP linkage, and ancillary services
  • Collect surveillance and case investigation data
  • Serve in emergency response assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Health education, health, social, or biological sciences background
  • Experience in health promotion or disease intervention/prevention
  • Interviewing, field investigation, and referral skills
  • Ability to collect and analyze epidemiological data
  • Eligibility for Public Health Adviser assignment level requirements
