About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and travel throughout the five boroughs of NYC to conduct vision screenings on students
- Schedule screening sites in collaboration with school administrators and nursing staff
- Distribute work assignments and monitor team member time and attendance
- Review screening data for accuracy and prepare team-level data reports
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training for team members regarding Bureau of School Health policies
- Coordinate and support eyeglass delivery to schools
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree with 12 semester credits in health, social, or biological sciences; OR
- Baccalaureate degree with 6 months of experience in health promotion or disease intervention; OR
- High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience
- For Assignment Level II: At least one year of experience as a Public Health Adviser, Assignment Level I, or an additional year of relevant experience
- Ability to travel throughout the five boroughs of New York City
