Public Entity Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities

• Defend public entities in litigation matters involving dangerous conditions, premises liability, sexual abuse, personal injury, and wrongful death
• Manage all aspects of cases including legal strategy and research
• Draft pleadings and motions
• Manage discovery processes
• Argue motions in court
• Attend mediations and trials

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Current admission to the California State Bar
• Skills in legal research, drafting, and discovery management
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience defending public entities
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience arguing motions and attending mediations
• Trial experience
