PTAR Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily PTAR operation and ensure compliance with discharge standards
• Control operational parameters, treatment efficiency, chemicals, sludge, and final disposal
• Ensure regulatory compliance with environmental authorities and manage reports, inspections, and audits
• Identify and mitigate environmental risks through preventive and contingency plans
• Support water reuse, water efficiency, and energy efficiency initiatives
• Monitor environmental KPIs and propose operational and technological improvements
• Manage community relations and address environmental impacts or complaints
• Coordinate and train personnel and contractors while supervising service providers

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Sanitary Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial PTAR operation or supervision
• Experience in chemical plants or regulated industries
• Direct interaction with environmental authorities
• Experience handling high regulatory and social scrutiny situations
• Knowledge of industrial water treatment processes
• Familiarity with Mexican environmental regulations (SEMARNAT, CONAGUA)
• Experience in waste and sludge management
• Knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001)
• Experience in environmental risk analysis
