About the role
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise Package Handlers and Clerks on safety, productivity, and job-related tasks
- Manage team attendance and submit timecards
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees, management, and customers
- Facilitate training for new and current employees and conduct group meetings
- Coordinate performance evaluations with management
- Determine effective solutions for package-related concerns
- Supervise daily activities to ensure all duties are completed safely and on time
- Demonstrate UPS's high ethical standards and code of conduct
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent
- Previous management experience
