About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide reception, integration, and support for women in their stabilization process and daily activities
- Build trust and maintain active listening with residents to meet their basic needs
- Support residents in social reintegration efforts and ending homelessness
- Act as an intermediary between residents and public institutions, frontline workers, and government services
- Ensure the safety of women and their children through timely interventions
- Manage crises and facilitate conflict resolution
- Plan, organize, and lead activities that promote social reintegration
- Manage and distribute medication according to established policies
- Provide information and direct residents or callers to appropriate community resources
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in a helping profession (DEC, certificate, or bachelor's degree) or currently in progress
- 1 to 3 years of psychosocial intervention experience, specifically working with women in difficulty
- Strong knowledge of community resources and the health and social services network
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Fluency in French (spoken/written) and intermediate English (spoken/written)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and emotional maturity
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of a third language
- Up-to-date workplace first aid certificate (CSST)
