Psychology Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Psychology lessons to Cycle 3 students (Grades 9-12) following the American curriculum.
• Design and implement lesson plans aligned with US national and state standards.
• Prepare students for Advanced Placement (AP) Psychology examinations.
• Utilize educational technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital assessment tools, to enhance learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population, including English Language Learners (ELLs).
• Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments and use data to inform instruction.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the academic department on planning and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., Educational Psychology).
• Valid professional teaching license/certification in Secondary Education from a recognized US state or equivalent jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience in Psychology at the high school level.
• Demonstrated experience teaching the American curriculum and adhering to US standards.
• Ability to meet UAE visa requirements and undergo the ADEK teacher licensing process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology or Education.
• Proven track record of student success in AP Psychology exams.
• Previous experience working in an international school setting, particularly in the UAE or Middle East.
