Psychology - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department in face-to-face settings
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and use instructional technology
• Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse students
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters
• Maintain confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the content area
• Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
• Residency in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky (required for tax and compliance purposes)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a community college environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
