Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy, diagnostic assessments, and crisis intervention for UBC students
• Deliver services within an integrative, multidisciplinary stepped care model in collaboration with medical and psychiatry providers
• Develop and deliver mental health programming, including workshops, seminars, and outreach to enhance student wellbeing
• Provide advanced clinical supervision and training for Doctoral residents within a CPA accredited residency program
• Offer clinical consultation and expertise regarding diagnostic complexity and risk assessment to university partners
• Participate in case management, administrative meetings, and the development of service delivery policies

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field
• Eligible for certification as a Licensed Psychologist in British Columbia
• Minimum of 7 years of clinical or counselling psychology experience
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including awareness of diverse lived experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in university or college counselling settings
• Demonstrated competence in diagnostic formulation and evidence-informed treatment in a brief care context
• Training and experience in the clinical supervision of graduate students
• Knowledge of student development theory and experience in program development and outreach
• Bilingualism or multilingualism
