Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic interpretation of available data
• Conduct client evaluations and obtain community evaluations when appropriate
• Provide evaluations and recommendations on 1370.1 referrals
• Participate in the development and implementation of individual program plans
• Consult with clients, families, and the community regarding appropriate programs
• Act as an advocate for individual clients and their families
• Provide case-related consultation to other agencies
• Evaluate community programs and services
• Work with community peers to increase service quality for the developmentally disabled population
• Provide community education and advocate for the DD population

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Psychology
• Licensed as a Psychologist by the California Board of Psychology
• One year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Valid driver's license and automobile
• Computer proficiency
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in program evaluation and planning
• Experience in differential diagnosis
• Fluency in Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Cantonese, or Mandarin
