About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic interpretation of available data
- Conduct client evaluations and obtain community evaluations when appropriate
- Provide evaluations and recommendations on 1370.1 referrals
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual program plans
- Consult with clients, families, and the community regarding appropriate programs
- Act as an advocate for individual clients and their families
- Provide case-related consultation to other agencies
- Evaluate community programs and services
- Work with community peers to increase service quality for the developmentally disabled population
- Provide community education and advocate for the DD population
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Psychology
- Licensed as a Psychologist by the California Board of Psychology
- One year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license and automobile
- Computer proficiency
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in program evaluation and planning
- Experience in differential diagnosis
- Fluency in Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Cantonese, or Mandarin
