Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for residents in acute psychosocial situations
• Offer low-threshold contact through outreach services within the facility
• Conduct psychosocial counseling in both individual and group settings
• Implement psychoeducational and supportive group programs
• Identify specific protection needs in accordance with EU reception directives
• Cooperate with other professional services and specialists within the facility

Requirements

• Master's degree or Diploma in Psychology
• Fluency in German
• High level of empathy, social competence, and teamwork skills
• Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Proof of measles vaccination (as per IfSG)
• A clean, enhanced criminal record (erweitertes Führungszeugnis)

Preferred Qualifications

• Initial professional experience working with refugees
• Additional qualifications or training, such as family or educational counseling
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Arabic, Albanian, Russian, Mandarin, or Tigrinja)
