Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for residents in acute psychosocial situations
• Establish low-threshold contact with residents through outreach services
• Conduct psychosocial counseling in both individual and group settings
• Implement psychoeducational and supportive group offerings
• Identify special protection needs in accordance with EU reception directive guidelines
• Cooperate with other relevant specialist services within the facility

Requirements

• Master's degree or Diploma in Psychology
• Fluency in German (additional languages such as Arabic, French, or Tigrinya are a plus)
• High level of empathy, social competence, and ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Proof of measles vaccination (as per IfSG)
• A clean criminal record (extended certificate of good conduct)

Preferred Qualifications

• Initial professional experience working with refugees
• Additional qualifications or training, such as family or educational counseling
