About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for residents in acute psychosocial situations
- Establish low-threshold contact with residents through outreach services
- Conduct psychosocial counseling in both individual and group settings
- Implement psychoeducational and supportive group offerings
- Identify special protection needs in accordance with EU reception directive guidelines
- Cooperate with other relevant specialist services within the facility
Requirements
- Master's degree or Diploma in Psychology
- Fluency in German (additional languages such as Arabic, French, or Tigrinya are a plus)
- High level of empathy, social competence, and ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Proof of measles vaccination (as per IfSG)
- A clean criminal record (extended certificate of good conduct)
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial professional experience working with refugees
- Additional qualifications or training, such as family or educational counseling
