About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on complex psychological health matters including suicide risk, trauma, PTSD, and stress
- Advise on support pathways, intervention options, and referral processes
- Develop, implement, and evaluate psychological health programmes and resources
- Contribute to organisational psychological health and wellbeing strategies
- Coach HSW Advisors and leaders to recognise and respond to psychosocial risks
- Liaise with external providers and specialist services while maintaining confidentiality
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, or Social Work
- Relevant professional registration and practising certification
- Experience in emergency services, first responder, defence, or high-risk operational environments
- Demonstrated experience in psychological health or workplace wellbeing initiatives
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and psychosocial hazards
- Proven ability to coordinate external support providers and referral pathways
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
