Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative oversight for medical staff at outpatient clinics in Brooklyn
• Supervise a medical team of eight, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and medical specialists
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
• Coordinate with outpatient services and residences to ensure collaborative patient care
• Oversee treatment quality and ensure compliance with federal, state, Joint Commission, and OMH standards
• Participate in policy development and clinical team meetings
• Collect and analyze data related to outpatient services to improve treatment offerings

Requirements

• Possession of a valid New York State medical license and current registration
• ABPN certification in psychiatry
• Minimum of two years of post-board certification experience in a psychiatric or general hospital setting
• At least one year of experience in clinical supervision of psychiatrists, residents, or fellows
