About the role
Responsibilities
- Travel to established international clinical sites to support Veteran evaluation services
- Conduct comprehensive adult psychiatric evaluations through clinical interviews, observations, and medical history reviews
- Assess and diagnose psychiatric conditions using current DSM criteria
- Complete detailed clinical documentation, including Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), within established 48-hour turnaround timelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated evaluation workflows
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold strict patient confidentiality and professional standards
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted Psychiatry license in the U.S., U.S. Territory, or Canada
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification
- 2+ years of full-time experience practicing as a Psychiatrist
- Experience providing adult psychiatry evaluations and applying current DSM criteria
- Valid U.S. Passport or Passport from Country of Record
- Ability to meet documentation and case submission deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting disability evaluations or compensation and pension examinations
- Experience working within multidisciplinary or government healthcare environments
- Strong independent assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
