Psychiatric Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological problem identification and crisis interventions
• Deliver mental health assessments and direct nursing services
• Administer medications, including intramuscular injections
• Monitor vital signs and draw blood for lab work
• Coordinate medical care with clinical staff and psychiatrists
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
• Assist consumers with psychological and social rehabilitation
• Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado
• For LPN: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• For RN: Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform precise clinical procedures
• Capacity to handle emotionally charged situations and maintain professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working with patients with serious and persistent mental illness
• Experience in a behavioral health or outpatient clinic
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL
